We received a commission from Rider Partners to build a sign for their exclusive development in West Lafayette, IN. Their design called for a 60x42 inch rusted, grungy panel with a three inch thick frame. Clean, modern lettering stands in contrast to the rustic panel.

We used our CNC plasma cutter to cut out the letters from a piece of solid 3/8th inch plate.

We sanded the letters and cleaned up any imperfections from plasma cutting and added metal studs to the back of each letter that were later used to offset the letters from the face of the sign.

After final assembly and an automotive grade flat clear finish our crew assisted Jeff Rider and his crew with hanging the sign.

We're glad to finally see it hanging as we put a lot of blood, sweat, and some tears into building this. We didn't provide the beam but we built the brackets and the everything from scratch in our metal shop. Thank you to Rider Partners for the opportunity.

Project Report: Gray Harvest Table

Farmhouse tables are some of our favorite pieces to build. We love knowing the dining table is a central part to a home. Families gathering around to share good food, stories and laughter. We specialize in a few classic farmhouse table designs, and build custom tables upon request.

Design Considerations: Client needed large table for open concept farmhouse remodel. She chose a simple four post table with 4 inch aprons. We beefed up the legs by using genuine reclaimed barn beams to match the scale of the massive 4x9 ft top.

Hines' Barn, Talbot, IN

We're excited to announce we have the privilege of deconstructing a beautiful weathered gray barn in Talbot, IN. Originally built in 1910, the barn features post and beam construction with mortise and tenons secured by wooden dowels. The barn's roof fell victim to the elements over the last few years, and has caused the most of the structure to fall in on itself.

However, there is some really nice grey barn siding and posts and beams to salvage. Check out our "Lumber" page to see what's available. There's plenty of beautiful reclaimed wood for everyone!
